About Our Episodes
All episodes incorporate the five core CASEL competencies. Additionally, our research team has identified three extra competencies specifically for children with learning differences: belonging, learning goals, and resilience.
Themes are repeated in multiple episodes, as repetition is crucial to a young learner’s mastery of new concepts. The video storylines become more advanced but allow students to practice the same SEL themes from grade to grade.
How it works
In each session, students tune into an episode of our live-action video skit series starring a cast of kids with learning differences.
We recommend teachers & parents preview the episode first.
Every episode comes with four hands-on activities based on that episode’s themes — plus fun videos from the SuperDville cast explaining how to do each activity.
Activities can be completed as a class, in small groups, or one-on-one with a student and educator or parent

What Educators Are Saying
Educators consistently praise SuperDville for helping students with dyslexia, SEL development, and emotional learning.
"I LOVE the activities/lessons that you created to go with the videos. I have used several and referred back to them throughout this year. For example, I've said 'Your amazing brain has a lot of facts about butterflies!' Thanks for sharing and teaching us so much."
Marianne Agner, Special Education Teacher, Dyslexia Therapist
"SuperDville really helped our students to understand that they weren't alone. And that was the biggest thing: they weren't the only ones struggling, they weren't the only ones with disabilities and gave them a lot of ideas on how they could deal with the things they were struggling with."
Beatrice G., Elementary School Teacher
"The single most important implication of research in dyslexia is making sure that we do not miss the unique potential of each child. SuperDville provides an environment where children can celebrate their unique contributions."
Maryanne Wolf, Director, Center for Dyslexia, UCLA
"The lessons of the Super D! Show help arm young people with fortitude and skills that can help them reach their potential. I wish we had this when I was a kid!"
